Brad Anderson’ın Makinist’ten sonraki bu yeni filminin dünya prömiyeri Ocak 2008’de Sundance’te gerçekleşti. Hikâye, ünlü Sibirya Ekspresi’yle Çin’den Moskova’ya yolculuk eden evli ama mutsuz çift Roy ve Jessie’nin etrafında gelişiyor. Roy ve Jessie’nin trende tanıştıkları İspanyol Carlos ve matruşka yapıp satan sevgilisi Amerikalı Abbie, başta uzun saatleri geçirmek için iyi bir çözüm gibidir. Ne var ki basit bir tren yolculuğu kısa süre sonra yalanlar, işkence, uyuşturucu ve cinayetle dolu korkutucu bir kovalamacaya dönüşür. Hiç kimse göründüğü gibi değildir.
